DIY Flavours is also proud to carry the Stixx Mixx naturally extracted tobacco flavours (n.e.t. flavours). This is the process of steeping dried tobacco leaves and in an eliquid base to extract all the naturally occurring flavours and rich and deep aromas of tobacco.

One of the featured naturally extracted tobacco concentrates is called A+ blend. It is a
Smooth blend and produces a unique and distinct flavour of flue cured tobacco with a mellow body and a nutty finish.

Here are some diy mixing notes for experimenting with tobacco eliquid bases:

• Tobacco flavours really come in to their own after 5-7 days of steeping so. If you make a batch and it doesn’t quite have the flavour or hit you are looking for, let it sit for a little while for the flavours to mature and develop
• A good place to start with tobacco flavours is between 4% - 8% total volume on a standalone mixture.
• Be sure to take a test vape shortly after mixing to get an initial impression and then test again after a week or so of steeping. You’ll definitely notice a change in the impact of the  vape. Use this information when adjusting your percentages. If it is too strong after being fully steeped - dial back the initial amount. If you’re not quite getting the depth of flavour you desire - increase by a couple percentage points until you find the right balance.
• Prepared a base of your preferred PG/VG Blend and add 5% - 8% of a Sitxx Mixx tobacco base like American Virginian. 
• Then once the base is steeped for a few days - experiment by adding a similar or complementary flavour like a vanilla or a cherry.

How To Avoid e-Cigarette Explosions

Vaping an e-cigarette is, in general, very safe. But, as with any electronic device, there’s a small chance of an explosion occurring, especially when the device is plugged in for charging. You’ve probably heard some variation of a vapor battery explosion story in the news. These accidents are really happening, but most can easily be avoided.

It has been found that most explosions occur when an e-cigarette is being charged with an alternative charger; that is, a charger that was not sold with the battery being charged. A small proportion of the explosions occur when the vape is in the users’ possession, whether in hand or in pocket. Regardless of the circumstances, it’s important to take measures to avoid this vaping hazard. There are a few simple precautions that may save you or someone you love from injury.

Charge It Right

You want to be sure the charger you use to keep your vape going is 100 percent compatible with the battery in your vape, no exceptions. This is probably the most important safety measure you can take since the majority of vape explosions occur from using the wrong charger. Do you only have your phone charger with you? Too bad. Err on the safe side and wait it out. On this note, avoid plugging your e-cigarette into computers or other USB-cable devices.

Stick With the Big Names

Forget supporting the small brands – protect yourself by only purchasing vapes made by the well-known players in the industry. You want to be sure the product you’re getting is made using high-quality standards to avoid an increased risk of malfunctioning. Finding a reputable source for your vaping supplies is also important so you don’t fall victim to counterfeits. New to the vaping world? Do your research before making an investment!

Give Your Battery Some TLC

A few vape battery safety tips: When you’re not using your e-cigarette, turn the battery off. If the battery is dirty, clean it – and the terminal contents – with a tissue or alcohol wipes. You may have heard this advice about other electronics, such as your phone, but it rings true for vapes even more so. Overcharging your vaping device can lead to overheating, which increases the potential for explosion. Charge your vape for only as long as it takes to reach a full charge. Don’t leave it charging for extended periods of time; instead, remain in proximity so you can unplug it when charging is complete.

Think Minimalism When Charging

In other words, keep the area where your vape is charging free of clutter. It’s also recommended to charge on a flat, clean surface. This will minimize the chance of a fire doing damage in case your device does explode.

Keeping Dry Is Best

This is probably an obvious one, but keep your vaping device away from water at all times. Sometimes, condensation will form on the battery and atomizer, so stay on the lookout for that and give it a quick wipe-down if you see anything.
